Situated in the quiet and beautiful Vendee countryside, close to Vouvant, City of Character, (10 mins drive), and the magnificent Mervent Forest, and offering lovely views spanning some 30 kms, this renovated, stone French built house of character dating back to circa1900, offers 1 double bedroom, plus one twin bedded room and one single bedroom, sleeping capacity upto 5 persons, plus baby's cot if required... It also offers a guests lounge/ diner, separate kitchen, all fully equipped, and bathroom with bath, shower over, wc and wash basin.
Outside:- Private , south facing garden for guests use only. Garden furniture provided, offering Al fresco dining, plus undercover Barberque area.
Ample car parking for multiple vehicles on adjacent private land of approx 5000 sq metres which is also for use of guests for that game of football, Al Fresco dining, picnicking, or just sitting and lapping up the sun, (safely, of course)....
Pillows and bed cover's/quilts are provided.
Linen and Towels are NOT provided...but can be supplied for a supplementary fee per week per room..

Owners accommodation situated on site at the rear of the rental property...and accessed via connecting door......
Prices :- April 1st to October 1st:-
Upto 4 persons ..... 350 euro's per week.
Plus 75 euro's for each additional person per week. (Children under 2 years excluded from extra charge)....
For winter let's, ie... 1st October to 31st March, a supplement of 10 euro's per person per week is required to cover heating costs...( children under 2 years of age excluded from charge)...
A non-returnable deposit of 30% is required at the time of reservation, payable in GBP or Euro's.
This is only returnable if the hosts have to cancel your booking for any un-forseen reason or at the discretion of the hosts.
The balance of the holiday is payable upon arrival (cash) in euro's.
A damage deposit of 200 euro's is also payable upon arrival and will be refunded upon departure (minus any minor damages incurred during your stay..)
For extreme damage caused during your stay, either accidental or otherwise, this will be referred to the host's insurance company for claims. Which is a reminder for guests to ensure that it is their responsibility to ensure that they have adequate holiday and health insurance whilst holidaying abroad.
The hosts endeavour to make certain that all equipment, fixtures and fittings are safe for use and therefore will not take responsibility for any damage, accidental or otherwise, or injury or loss incurred to persons or their personnel possessions for the duration of their stay at the property.

Local attractions:- Vouvant, petite city of character, Mervent and it's magnificent forest, Mervent Zoo, Pierre Brunne Adventure Park, The Grand Parc (Puy Du Fou) a spectacular theme park catering for all age groups.... not to be missed! And many more attractions too numerous to mention.
Local lakes offering lovely views in a tranquil setting and offering safe bathing are 10 mins drive away....
Nearest wide expanses of sandy beaches offering safe bathing and surfing, are approx 50 minutes drive:- La Tranche, Longeville, La Faute sur Mer, Aguillon, and La Sable D'Lonne, plus many more.
La Rochelle, with it's typically French cafe culture, Paris style shops, historical Port and Aquarium and the beautiful island of Ile De Re, some 1hr 20 mins drive...and so it goes on, depending upon your taste....
There are also an abundance of Chateaux open to the public, and numerous nature trails for the avid walker/cyclist....
There are also local lakes that allow fishing on a day ticket purchased at the local Tabac..

La Chataigneraie 15 mins
Nearest boulangerie, resturants, supermarket, 10 mins....
The weekly rental is based upon Saturday to Saturday, which is the change-over day, but these days can be flexible by arrangement.
The accommodation is available after 4pm on arrival day ....
Departure time required is before 10am on departure day....
